Mailbox Monday #5

Welcome to another edition of my Mailbox Monday, which is sponsored by Marcia at The Printed Page! I swear I will have a free Monday sometime soon, but for now, I'm posting these on Sunday nights.

What did I get in my mailbox, you'll be surprised!

1. A box of Spooktacular books, which I won at Words to Mouth and Hatchette Group; I think one of the books that was supposed to be in the box is still on back order--Possibly When Ghosts Speak by Mary Ann Winkowski

The 13 Best Horror Stories of All Time, edited by Leslie Pockell
The Heretic's Daughter by Kathleen Kent
Isolation by Travis Thrasher
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
The Monsters by Dorothy and Thomas Hoobler
Ghostly Encounters by Frances Kermeen
The Myrtles Plantation by Frances Kermeen
Dracula by Bram Stoker (Can you believe I didn't own this yet?!)
The Terror by Dan Simmons

2. Breathing Out the Ghost by Kirk Curnutt (from the author for his TLC Book Tours).

3. The Memorist by MJ Rose (from the author)

Really? I'm glad you own Dracula now. You've read it before though, I'm sure. Gosh, I can't count the number of times I read it. The last time was in high school though...sigh...that long ago.

The Heretic's Daughter is great, one of my favorites this year.

Dracula is great. I have to re-read it for 2009. It's been too long since I've read it!

Jeannie: I've read dracula in high school as well, but never re-read it because I don't have it...though that makes no sense considering I could go to the library and get it...but I guess the problem is solved now.

Bookish ruth: I wanted to win this box simpy because The Heretic's Daughter was in it!

Ladytink: Wow, how can you resist reading dracula!

Gautami: Someday you will win a big box of books...just got to get these publishers on board!

That spooky box sounds fantastic! I love Dracula and The Historian was great too. And I want to read The Terror and The Heretic's Daughter. I've also read The Monsters and didn't care for it, but that was me. The subject matter certainly is interesting. Enjoy your new books :)
