Mailbox Monday #6

This is the first Mailbox Monday that will actually appear on a Monday! Amazing. No tours for me this week! But here's what I got in the mail over the past week. There are some great ones in here. Mailbox Monday is sponsored by Marcia at The Printed Page.

From Hatchette Group! Thanks Valerie. Check back for a review and giveaway of this novel.

I won a copy of this much-talked-about novel from Anna at Diary of an Eccentric. The author, David Ebershoff, sent the novel to me via priority mail, which was certainly unexpected.

I received this novel from Danielle Jackson at Sourcebooks. I cannot wait to read this one. It did really well in the United Kingdom.

I recently received this book from Minibook Expo. Another WWII novel. I cannot wait to read this one.

***Reminder***

Don't forget my contest for the writing guide Grit for the Oyster. You have two chances to enter: the review and the guest post

Deadline is December 1, Midnight EST.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Jill Mansell. I'm supposed to be receiving that one for review as well.

I read the blurb of the Jill Mansell book and really liked it. Hope you enjoy all the books.

Maybe my copy of Gods Behaving Badly will come soon.

Glad you received The 19th Wife so quickly! I'm waiting on my copies of the other books. I'm trying to be patient. LOL

Amy: I'm glad to hear that you love Jill Mansell. That's a great recommendation.

VioletCrush: The blurb is what got me interested.

Bermudaonion: I hope your copy of Gods Behaving Badly comes soon as well.

Anna: Patience is hard. I like how the publishers will send me stuff first and then switch it up the next time and send them to you first!

So why the two covers on Gods Behaving Badly? I've seen two on other blogs too and always wondered ...

Now I'm curious about Jill Mansell. Is she a British writer (I know, just do a Google search, Shana!)? I adore British writers, so I'm gonna have to check her out.

I have Reading by Lightning too. I didn't realize it was a WWII novel. I think it was one of those I couldn't figure out who sent it or why but it does look very good! Maybe I'll bump it up in the TBR stack!

Jill Mansell is one of my all-time favorite British authors. She never disappoints.

*The 19th Wife* is excellent, and David Ebershoff is a doll! I was able to meet him and chat a bit after a reading at the Harvard Book Store. Then he was nice enough to do that "collaborative" interview on my blog.

He's "editor-at-large" at Random House, so I've seen his name connected with other books as well.

19th wife should be a good one.
