St. Patrick's Day Celebrations

After a hard days work and posting about the phenomenal Galway Bay by Mary Pat Kelly about Irish immigrants in honor of St. Patrick's Day. I decided to do a little searching on the Internet for some local fun. Lo and behold, I discovered our Green Turtle was hosting St. Patrick's Day celebrations with green beer and $2 pints, including exports like Guinness.

Here's my husband enjoying his Green Miller Lite; I had a sip, but thoroughly enjoyed having my $2 pints of Guinness. Well, this place was full of St. Patty's Day fun and green. The waiters and waitresses were wearing St. Patty's Day shirts, green necklaces, fez hats, and elf ears?! My hubby just had to have some. Check him out.

I was wearing my green Celtics hat with its shamrock glory and my green shirt and shamrock socks! I think I was decked out enough for the occasion, but the manager offered me a hat and ears to take home as well.

How was your St. Patrick's Day? What did you end up doing?

I was driving most of the day, so I was a blog last night. Your evening looks much more fun!

How fun!! I've only had Guinness once--on St. Patty's Day 6 years ago. I had that icky taste in my mouth for about a week. But Green Miller Lite? Any day. :) Glad you guys had such a fun and festive day.

Looks like you had fun. We went through Ann Arbor yesterday and the students were already starting to hit the bars and beer tents at 10:30 AM! Makes my head hurt just thinking about it.

Sounds like you had a great St. Patrick's Day! I no longer drink but when I did I think I would of preferred the Guiness over dyed beer myself. (Hugs)Indigo

It's the Irish blood in my veins, no matter how little, that makes me love my guinness! We did have a great time...though technically I'm the only one descended from the Irish in this pair. LOL I don't drink that much, just on special occasions. LOL

Doesn't surprise me, he's been goofy for years! LOL I was mourning the loss of my bookcase on St. Pat's Day. Nothing exciting.

It's not a big deal in Los Angeles and even though I have some Irish in me I didn't do a darn thing to celebrate!

I love those ears though. I would have donned them in a second had they been offered to me.

Where is your ear pic? LOL.

Susan: It was his idea!

Ti: I don't wear those things...hubby's the goofy one...i'm always serious.
