Mailbox Monday #28

Before we get to the Mailbox Monday for this week, I wanted to announce that the blog is undergoing some changes. I've moved to the blog to its own domain: http://www.savvyverseandwit.com

Blogger insists that everyone will be redirected from the old blog address, but to be on the safe side, please update your subscriptions and readers.

That's not all, work is underway on a new look, and I should be unveiling that soon. Stay tuned for that!

Also, many of you may know Gautami of Reading Room blog and that her blog was deleted due to malware issues. She's started up a new book review blog, everything distils into reading. Please stop by and support her switch over and encourage her to continue reviewing and contributing to the community.

Onto the latest edition of Mailbox Monday, sponsored by Marcia at The Printed Page. My mailbox received fewer books this week, but that is a welcomed sight.

1. School of Essential Ingredients by Erica Bauermeister, which I won from Bermudaonion's blog; she's got a great photo of the cover, here.

2. Fodor’s New York City 2009 guide, which I received from Shelf Awareness (Yes, I broke down and joined)

3. Painting the Invisible Man by Rita Schiano, which I received from Bostick Communications

What did you get in your mailbox this week?

I've got School of Essential Ingredients on my shelf, as well as the Fodor's NY guide (which I won from a giveaway). I love Shelf Awareness though - it's a great resource.

You can't go wrong with a Fodors! And The School of Essential Ingredients will no doubt be one of my top reads for the year. You will eventually kick yourself if you don't get to it quickly!

I've heard a lot about the School of Essential Ingredients. I will probably read it when I take a couple months off blog tours later this summer.

Lenore: I'm hoping to be there...

Congratulations on your new domain!
I also broke down and joined Shelf Awareness. We'll see how that goes.

You're in for a treat with The School of Essential Ingredients. I got the Fodor's guide, too, but I didn't think to include it in my mailbox. Probably because I wasn't thinking of it as a review book or something I was planning to read cover to cover. lol

Congrats on your blog changes! Can't wait to see the new look. School of Essential Ingredients was such a good book and it had beautiful language. I love Shelf Awareness too. I've received so many wonderful books through their ads but I've had to cut back to catch up. Hope you enjoy it and your new books. Have a great week!

You got some good stuff in the mail Serena. Congrats on getting your own domain. I'm trying to decide what I want to do. I'm not so technical savvy so just not so sure at this point.

Lucky you, you won The School of Essential Ingredients! I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and buy that one. Enjoy your books! (I'm going to say what I said to Heather last week: I wish you'd include covers in these posts!)

Avis: I wish had more time this past weekend to add the covers. I usually do, but this weekend was just a mess. Thanks for checking the mailbox this week.

I hope that you enjoy School of Essential Ingredients. It was a favorite of mine this year. Shelf Awareness will definitely add to your TBR stacks. It's worth it, and a great resource. I'm trying to be much more selective of the books that I request and accept.
