It's another full mailbox this week at Savvy Verse & Wit. It always amazes me how many books make it into my home each week.
Here's what came last week:
1. Eye of the Whale by Douglas Carlton Abrams; the author graciously sent me this novel and I am thrilled to review another of his books. If you missed my review of the Lost Diary of Don Juan, check it out.
2. A Summer Affair by Elin Hilderbrand, which I won at All About {n}. If you haven't checked out Nely's blog you should.
3. The Condition by Jennifer Haigh for the August Book Club Girl August 18 show.
4. Carta Marina: A Poem in Three Parts by Ann Fisher-Wirth, which I received from the poet for review in October.
5. Searching for Pemberley by Mary Simonsen from Sourcebooks for review in November/December.
6. Willoughby's Return by Jane Odiwe from Sourcebooks for review in October/November. If you missed my review of Odiwe's Lydia Bennet's Story, check it out.
7. The Waker's Corridor by Jonathan Thirkield, which I received from the American Academy of Poets. This book of poems received the Walt Whitman Award in 2008.
8. Wait Until Twilight by Sang Pak from the author for review in August.
9. Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, a young adult novel from Simon & Schuster for review in October.
10. A Rotten Person Travels the Caribbean by Gary Buslik from the author for review in September.

Wow, great week! They all sound so good! I recently got Summer Affair at a book sale but haven't read it yet. I also got hush, hush and was just reading a few pages and ended up reading the whole thing. Hope you enjoy them all and I look forward to reading your thoughts.
I've seen copies of these making their rounds, but I have to laugh at the one about the rotten person traveling to the Caribbean! What is up with that one?
I think the Pemberley book is the only one we have in common this week. I have The Condition sitting patiently on my shelf. I'll be posting my Mailbox shortly. Happy reading!

Happy reading, will look forward to your thoughts on those
Ooh, What a nice variety you got this week. Searching for Pemberley caught my eye. Have a great week and happy reading with all your new books. My Mailbox is here
I got Hush Hush also, and have high hopes that its something my teenaged and twenty something daughters and I can agree upon! They loved Twilight and I thought it was dopey, so here's to hoping we can find a book in common! My list is here! Happy reading!!
Wow, you had a great week! We didn't get a single book in common. Did you see Booking Mama's blurb in the front of A Summer Affair?
Blodeuedd: I love austen sequels...can you tell?
Kaye: thanks for checking out the mailbox
Kelly: I wish you luck finding a better alternative to Twilight.
Bermudaonion: Now I have to really look at that book again. I think I missed Booking Mama's blurb! UGH.
Wow, Serena, what a great looking bunch of books you got!
That's quite a list. Can't wait to hear what you think about Searching for Pemberly and Willoughby's Return.
What an awesome lot of books!
Happy reading..
Mondays: Musings/Whereabouts
You've got so many good ones in this pile. Enjoy them!
wanted to pop in and say great blog. you should check out mine. i write, review, and interview authors. xo
I remember getting offered the Wait Until Twilight one but I think I passed on it, mostly because of my towering pile of TBR for reviews.
You and Anna both had full mailboxes this week! Jeez! And my husband -- who loves travel writing -- read the "Rotten Person Travels Caribbean" book so we have it here somewhere. His entire review was "It was OK." See why I need to blog? This is his review of EVERY book he reads.
Thank you I received my book in the mail today-Rubies in the Orchard-I really appreciate the bookmarks.

PS I forgot to mention that pomograns are one of my favourite fruits.
Messy but worth it.
What a great week you had! I can hardly wait to read Hush Hush - I hope it's as good as it sounds.
Hush Hush seems to be making it into a lot of people's hands lately. It'll be interesting to see what everyone thinks. I'm intrigued by the cover.
Enjoy your new books! I look forward to reading your thoughts on them.
