It's Time for a TBR Confession

Sept. Stack

OK, it's confession time. I have a towering stack of books I had to read this month, but due to BBAW and other commitments (not to mention the library books I was reading), I am not going to get to many of these books. This was just part of my September stack. As you can see, I didn't do very well.

Since we are making confessions today, how about I show you all the books I have not read. These are not all ARCs or books from authors. Many of these are books passed to me from my mother, books I bought, and books I've had forever. Not to mention books I received from all the wonderful book blogger giveaways out there.

Shelves Overflow

I know, many of you have gasped. It's OK. I do it to every time I look at this corner of my living room. Just imagine how many more books I would have if I got all the ones on my to-read list on Good Reads?!

What does your TBR pile look like?

My current read is on top of your pile - The Trials of the Honorable F. Darcy. LOL! It took me two weeks almost to read my last book and that usually never happens. I'm right with you. I'll have to take a picture to post tomorrow. I'm working on my post for today's topic - my 200th review!!! :)

Congrats on 200 reviews! I am looking forward to seeing your TBR pile

My TBR pile recently demanded new bookshelves. It was tired of hiding in drawers and under chairs.

You don't even come close. I have over 200 books in many stacks in front of our bedroom fireplace that are so high you can't even tell we have a fireplace. LOL.... My DH keeps asking why I bother reading book blogs when I have enough books to keep me busy for the next 2 years at least!! Sad thing is he is probably right.

My reading has taken a big hit this week. Your TBR pile looks about like mine.

I'm too embarrassed to show mine, but suffice it say that it's every bit as "ugly" as yours!

We definitely need more storage space for our TBR piles!! :D

Oh I don't feel so bad now. Granted I only showed 90% of my TBR but well you saw the stack lol.

I see that you and I have many of the same books. Your pile looks mine except I did not work on a panel during BBAW so I have no excuse.

Mine doesn't quite look like that (at least it is an organized mess). But my boyfriend has been giving me trouble about all the books I am getting compared to how quickly I read them. After cleaning out my bookshelves about a month or so ago - I need another few shelves, or something quick!

My entire bookshelf is tbrs. And it's a 6.5 foot by 4 foot with 4 shelves :(

I did a momentary gasp...until I looked around my own surroundings. I was having to resort to paper boxes until I splurged on a $16 bookshelf from Target a few weeks ago (which is now full). You're in good company amongst all of us!

Thanks for confessing to us. Looks like you've got lots of good books to choose from.

I love your confession. If I were to confess too, I also have a problem with my TBR stacks. With challenges, book clubs, and a library addiction, sometimes I find it hard to go through my stacks. I should really take a picture . . .

I have a pretty ugly pile, but have to admit, yours is just a wee bit bigger! Haha! Hey, I see a whole pile of Stephanie Plums there. You need to get going on those! I bet you could read about one a day!

It's waaaay too scary to put them all in one pile. I've got mine spread around three rooms so it doesn't look so intimidating. You're going to be busy for quite some time, young lady!

Did I forget to mention that each shelf as about two-three rows in depth of books?!

My pile isnt as big as yours. But I work in a library so sometimes I feel as if the whole building is my TBR pile :) I am very behind on my reading this month. I've got two books I need and sumbit scores for the Aspen Gold Romance Writers contest - by Monday. Ack.

oooh thats scary and beautiful at the same time. I love it. And 3 more rows of it would be pure bliss :)

Yea, my TBR pile looks very similar to yours so I don't feel so bad anymore :)

My friend and I often laugh at the crushing amount of TBR books at our Goodreads accounts!

Serena - That is a huge pile! You have your work cut out for you....for about the next ten years!

I'd be too embarrassed to put a photo of my TBR pile on my blog. There are quite a few review and giveaway books, but the number of books I've bought over the years and still haven't read is astronomical.

It's a brave woman who posts her TBR on the blog!

I uncovered a book I had borrowed from a friend about a year ago, when I offered to give it back she said, "no, keep it, I know you're always looking for something to read." HA!

I have at least that many, it's crazy. I'm never gonna get around to most of them because those silly authors KEEP WRITING.

My TBR pile is actually an entire room full of books. Piles, shelves, bags, and boxes full. Yeah, it's kind of out of hand.
