Mailbox Monday #69

It's been a slow week here in terms of books, which is a good thing.  I'm waiting on a couple of books for review that have not arrived yet, which I suspect is because of the heavy snowfall here that dropped more than 2 feet of snow in my area.

Marcia at The Printed Page and Kristi of The Story Siren both sponsor memes in which bloggers share what books they've received in the past week.  I'm going to continue calling these Mailbox Mondays, but The Story Siren also has In My Mailbox.

Here's what I received:

Sonnets for Sinners by John Wareham for review.

What did you get in your mailbox?

God love you guys. If the snow is slowing down the mail, you can only imagine the flood of books that are going to flood in once it gets moving again!

Sandy: I'm afraid to think about it! LOL

2 feet of snow? Yow!! I hope you got some reading time and didn't have to spend all your leisure digging out from under. Have a great week and happy reading! My MM is here

I need a slow week like that! You're probably going to get tons of books this week between the lack of delivery because of snow and the holiday today.

Enjoy your "catch up" week. Hope the snow decides to fall somewhere else for a while!

It's good to have a breather from the mail every now and then; make room for next week.

Kaye: I have spent time reading and cleaning. I have visitors coming next week.

Bermudaonion: I don't even want to imagine what the mail will look like after all this snow, and we're getting more today!

Mary: I wish that the snow would go elsewhere.

Diane: I agree

Wow! Your one book sounds good!

I only got one, also, but I can't blame the weather!

There's about 42 inches of snow in my backyard if you want some more!

Enjoy your new book.

The snow is finally melting here in East TX & I don't think it is returning. Just cold! I do wonder what your mailbox is going to burst with next week =)

Yikes - 2 feet of snow?! WOW! We got a few inches the other day and that was enough for us! It was pretty though.

Here's my mailbox: http://www.passagestothepast.com/2010/02/mailbox-monday_14.html

I hope the snow days have been fun for you and not a total drag.

I'm thinking of participating in In My Mailbox along with Mailbox Monday -- it looks like I busy site. Have you had fun with it?

Serena said...

RoseCity: I like participating in both.

I hope the snow is done for you now and will be melting slowly. You don't want a quick melt with all that snow! Even on Amazon they say books can be delayed due to the weather out east! I imagine your mailbox will be full once the mail gets through!

Sounds like an interesting book....just think how full your mailbox will be when mail delivery gets back to normal! I haven't had anything in my mailbox for 2 weeks now, but it actually makes me feel like I am catching up...although we all know I'm not! lol

I haven't heard much about this book. I hope it is enjoyable for you. Here's Mine

What a lovely batch of.... snow! I know mail sure slowed down in my area as well, although most of the snow went south of us. Spring will soon be here :)

My mailbox haul is here.

i had the same situation--the weather halted our mail for a few days thus delaying a few review copies. i had to push off the review dates. :(

sad to report that it's actually SNOWING here again--will it ever end? i think tonight will be just a dusting compared to the 40+ inches we've had over the last 2 weeks. argh.

You may want to get a bigger mailbox for a bit after the mail starts moving again. lol.

I took a look at the amazon link for the one book you got. Looks interesting and I'm curious what you'll think of it!

I'm not big on poetry but will be reviewing a poetry book for April.

As for snow, it snowed all last night. We only have maybe 6-8 inches but that's still quite a bit for us.
