This is a ***Sticky Post***
Do any of you bloggers read poetry books and review them?
How often do you review them?
Or do you want to review poetry collections?
I've been thinking about making a list and posting it somewhere on this blog to collect the site names and contact information of bloggers interested in reviewing poetry books.
If you want to be on this list, please email me your URL, name, and preferred contact information.

Serena, you know I am interested in reading and reviewing poetry books. Problem is I don't get enough of those.
You already know me, my blog URL and email. Still I will send you my info in that email.
Thanks!
i got away from poetry after i graduated from school. i still teach it each year, but i don't read much of it. (bad, i know...) i love william carlos williams, though. my students dig him too. i can't say i'd review poetry--i feel like it's so personal and i'd hate to critique something like that. but if you find some good stuff, let me know!
I just wanted to step in and say I left you an award and it's kind of CUTE.. or weird...
Check it out on The Burton Review
Enjoy, and thanks for the great blog!

I write about poems often, although I don't review entire volumes very frequently. I'm open to the idea, especially if I found a free or inexpensive source for new volumes of poetry. I'll send you my info.
You know I'm with ya on the poetry stuff. I wouldn't mind reviewing more, as long as it's not poetry that makes me scratch my head. I like to have at least an idea of what the poem is about. LOL

Serena,
I love, love, love reading poetry and I enjoy in-depth discussion and analysis, but it has been a very long time since I've been in a formal critique group or class. I don't feel competent writing a review. Out of practice.
If asked though, I'd consider it. I'd be flattered that someone believed I could intelligently write about the art form.
I have never reviewed any poetry, hm, it would be fun though.
I like your blog, it's always fun to read so I have given you an award over at my blog :)

Serena! I messed with my blog, and I think I may have it fixed! Check it out and let me know how it looks!
I just recently reviewed a book of poetry, Rubber Side Down: The Biker Poetry Anthology. I haven't gotten many offers of poetry for review, but I would definitely be interested.
I have a terrible confession to make. I don't actually enjoy poetry all that much... shame on me! I am a high school English teacher!
I do, however, have several favorites. I'd love to READ a review of collections by Pablo Neruda, Walt Whitman, Shakespeare, or Gwendolyn Brooks.
Kate: I wonder what is it about those poets that you enjoy and I bet there is a contemporary poet that you would like who can meet those aesthetic needs.
I am interested, just not currently ('cause all the stuff going on here). It's a good idea that you have though- making a list and putting it on your blog. It'll also be a nice way for all of the poetry readers on your blog to get to know each other.
An award is awaiting you at A Novel Menagerie in the Sunday Salon Post.

Yay!
Yes, Please. I read poetry and want to start reviewing same.
I'd love the opportunity to review some poetry books!
Hi Serena,
Great questions! I review poetry books when they are available, but they aren't plentiful and some just make no sense to me.
My mother loved poetry, and I have two collections from various poets that I dig out upon occasion.
I'll send you my info via email, though I'm pretty sure you have it.
Cheryl
Yes, I'd be glad to review poetry. I do have a poetry blog but I've only reviewed one anthology--it's mostly dedicated to single poems.
