Wow!! That's an impressive stack. You probably had to pack an extra bag just to take them home.

That's too funny! I think the only book we got in common at BEA was the Luis Urrea audio book. Enjoy your new treasures!

Wow you must have had a major back ache from lugging them all around at BEA!!

You guys are great for stopping by to check out these books...you cannot believe how much fun it was to see the publishers, etc. Carrying the books around was not too bad, but imagine how many I would have had if I went to all four days!

Yowza. Bet you've got a few more muscles after that haul. I can't wait to hear about BEA!

Serena said...

I think Anna and I both have muscles because over the course of a couple days and these books, plus hers, we both carried that one bag around the exhibition hall and NYC for hours on end. I can tell you that my shoulders are sore

Whoo-hoo, what a mega pile! I'm definitely planning to go to BEA next year! Enjoy your books!

Serena said...

Avis: It would be great to see you if you plan on going in 2010.

Read The Crying Tree first. It is an amazing book. One of a few great reads I have had thus far this year!

Michael: Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks, Serena, I'd love to meet you (and Anna) too!

I'm so jealous of your haul that I can hardly see through the green haze across my eyes!!! Enjoy them all. :-)

I'm so very jealous! What great books! It must have been so much fun. Someday I'm going to check it out for myself. Can't wait to hear what you think of everything. Enjoy!

Serena! That is a startling amt of books. AND you got got to go to BEA - I didn't realize YOU were there, too?! I swear almost all the bloggers I follow were in NY last weekend!

Serena said...

Care: I met a bunch of the bloggers face to face, but I also didn't run into a bunch because of the times I came in and left. They had some pre-arranged meet-up times, but Anna and I were late comers on Friday. We did hang out a bit with some of them, but more on that later.
